How teachers and families come together to create the TCA hybrid model.
Teacher’s role
- Provide weekly lesson plans to the parents to oversee at home
- Provide initial instruction for lessons
- Assign, post, and monitor and/or grade assigned work
- Administer quizzes/testing to gauge mastery (Grades 7–12)
- Enter grades in gradebook for parent use (Grades 7–12)
- Facilitate classroom experiences
- Communicate with students and parents concerning performance
- Partner with parents in the discipleship of students
Parent / student’s role
- Administrator of their own legal homeschool
- Provide additional instruction as needed for their student to master material/concepts presented at TCA
- Provide final grades for your student based on the suggested grades provided by the TCA teachers
- Assist students with understanding and completion of work as needed
- Assist student in organizing materials to bring to TCA
- Provide accountability to complete assignments weekly
- Communicate with teachers as needed to assist your student
